Coffee & Conversation

Join FAPAP for Coffee & Conversation! Our first Coffee & Conversation takes place October 1 from 3:00–4:00 p.m. and will focus on Public Art 101. This introductory conversation will explore the fundamentals of public art while providing an opportunity to ask questions, exchange experiences, and connect with others working in, or interested in, the field.

The session will be facilitated by FAPAP President Laura Atria, City of Pompano Beach Visual Arts Program Manager and Town of Davie Public Art Consultant, and FAPAP Board Member Mary Davis Wallace, Cultural Urban Planner, Designer, and Public Art Expert.

The Florida Association of Public Art Professionals is excited to launch Coffee & Conversation, a new monthly online meetup bringing together public artists, administrators, students, and public art enthusiasts from across Florida and beyond. These free, informal, and interactive sessions are designed to create an open space for conversation, connection, and learning. Each month, experienced public art professionals will facilitate a discussion around a different topic impacting the field. Bring your coffee, your questions, your experiences, and your ideas! Whether you are a seasoned professional or just beginning to explore public art, everyone is welcome and encouraged to join the conversation.
