Regional Artists Development Series
The Regional Artists Development (RAD) series is a workshop geared towards artists and art professionals who are interested in exploring the leap into the Public Art realm. This 1-day workshop serves as a guide and overview of the nuts and bolts of the field of Public Art, including but not limited to: introduction to the field, the life cycle of a typical public art project, how to read and respond to a call to artists, learning about budgets, contracts and planning. Additional areas of focus could include percent-for-art ordinances, public/private partnerships, community engagement and the role of site specific Public Art. FAPAP will work with the host to best tailor the workshop to their needs.
What FAPAP Provides:
- 1 full-day workshop providing an overview of the field of Public Art
- 2-3 speakers who are seasoned professionals in the field.
- Travel and accommodations for these speakers
- Promotion of the event to members and social media followers
What the host should provide:
- Venue for Workshop
- Promotion for the event
- The decision of the host city to charge for the workshop to underwrite the costs of venue, or to get sponsor

- Artist lectures by established Public Artists
- Public Art collection walking tour
- Regional Call to Artists launch
- Vendor lists and Public Art resources
