Who we are and what we do

FAPAA members are public art professionals, students, artists who produce public art, professionals in related fields and others who support our aims and goals.

All those persons involved in or interested in the public art field in Florida may join our association.

Annually, we gather in a host community to connect with each other, to discuss issues of concern, to debate ideas, to tour local public art sites, to simply enjoy ourselves in the company of our peers. Visit our Meetings page for a list of recent conference sites and agendas.

All conferences, meetings, and workshops are free to members or have greatly reduced rates for members. These gatherings provide great opportunities for those interested in public art to get together and discuss current public art issues, to share the successes of member programs, to view the achievements of host communities and generally enjoy the company of our colleagues.

Current officers and members are exploring ways to qualify as a certified State Service organization. Certification will establish FAPAA as the official organization to foster quality and professionalism and provide opportunities to support and strengthen Florida professionals working in the field of public art.

FAPAA Listserv is a way for members stay in touch, individually or as a group. It is a great place to pose questions, post announcements, discuss issues, and generally confer about our profession and our programs. Members will receive a password to our Members Listserv.

Member organizations are highlighted on this site and links are provided to the member's site. All images on this site are from members' projects.
